Instructions on Using Spybot and Ad-Aware
First, download Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy and install both programs. Click HERE if you have not already run Ad-Aware.
The next step is to update both programs (even if you just downloaded them you must update)
Spybot:
Click the "Search for Updates" button on the main Spybot screen.
STEP TWO:
Now press "Search for updates" and check each of the boxes that come up, then go to the mirror selection (under the search button) and select the USA mirror. Now click "Download updates" and the updates will install. Spybot will close and reopen.
STEP THREE:
Now proceed to the "Search and Destroy" page and choose "Check for problems"
STEP FOUR:
Finally, select each of the checkboxes and now press "Fix selected problems" on the bottom of the screen. Repeat this process with both Spybot and Ad-Aware once every 1-2 weeks to maintain a clean system.
